Bast is the outer fibre of the hemp stalk — the long, strong strands that have been spun into rope and canvas for six thousand years.

The Bast Series frames are pressed from that fibre. No two are alike: the fibre pattern is visible in the surface, and you can feel the texture under your thumb. These are the most tactile frames we make.
