The standard we work to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the international reference standard for accessible web content and cover four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
What we have done
- Color contrast. Body text, headings and interface controls are checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratios — 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
- Keyboard navigation. Menus, filters, product galleries, accordions and the cart can be reached and operated without a mouse.
- Alternative text. Product photography and informational images carry descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Structure. Pages use real headings in order, real lists and real landmarks, so assistive technology can navigate them.
- Forms. Every input has an associated label. Errors are described in text, not by color alone.
- Zoom and reflow. Content reflows to 400% zoom and to narrow viewports without loss of information or horizontal scrolling.
- Motion. We honor the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
Where we know we fall short
We would rather name the gaps than claim we have none.
- Some older product photography does not yet carry fully descriptive alternative text. We are working through the catalog.
- Third-party applications embedded in the store — including reviews and payment providers — are not fully under our control. We raise accessibility defects with those vendors when we find them.
- PDF documents published before 2026 may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will supply an accessible alternative on request.
Assistive technology
This site is tested with screen readers on desktop and mobile, keyboard-only navigation, and browser zoom. If a specific combination of browser and assistive technology gives you trouble, please tell us which one — it is the fastest way for us to fix it.

Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-time audit for us. Every new page, template and product this store gains is checked before it goes live, and the whole site is reviewed periodically. This statement is updated when that review changes what is true.
