She was thought of as the protector of Athens, hence her name, and was also ascribed as the protector of many Greek cities. She has now taken a natural and illustrious form as the protector of eyes and earth. Athena's sleek and chic cat-eye shape adds a touch of glamor and sophistication to its wearer.
The Athena is made from machine-pressed hemp fibre — a hemp composite. Hemp is grown as a crop rather than recovered as waste, which makes it a renewable agricultural input instead of salvage.

Sizing runs small to medium across most models; Iris is the roomier frame.
Lenses
Polarized, UV400 — every color. Every lens color is polarized and UV400.
Tinted lenses (Shaded Black, Tawny Brown) give the deepest shade. Flash-coated lenses (Kelly Green Azure, Fire Orange, Cerulean Blue, Purple Haze, Royal Blue, Light Blue, Tahitian Pearl, Pink Fever) add a mirrored finish. Transparent lenses (Arctic Blue, Pilot Yellow, Rose Tint) are fully polarized with a lighter tint for low-light and style wear.

One-year limited warranty on frames against manufacturing defect — breakage, delamination and hinge failure under normal use. On a valid claim you choose the remedy: replacement, repair, or store credit. One replacement per purchase. Not covered: lenses, scratches, loss, cosmetic wear, heat damage, or third-party repair.
